{"id":2625,"date":"2018-09-24T14:18:11","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T18:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.letterofcredit.biz\/?p=2625"},"modified":"2019-04-07T01:45:38","modified_gmt":"2019-04-07T05:45:38","slug":"field-44d-shipment-period","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.letterofcredit.biz\/index.php\/2018\/09\/24\/field-44d-shipment-period\/","title":{"rendered":"Field 44D: Shipment Period"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What is Field 44D: Shipment Period?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Field 44D: Shipment Period is a field in MT 700 swift message type that is used to specify the period of time during which the goods are to be loaded on board\/despatched\/taken in charge.<\/p>\n<p>This is an optional field.<\/p>\n<p>Either field Field 44C: Latest Date of Shipment or Field 44D: Shipment Period, but not both, may be present.<\/p>\n<p>Usually issuing banks prefer to use\u00a0Field 44C: Latest Date of Shipment, but not\u00a0Field 44D: Shipment Period.<\/p>\n<p>Shipment period will apply only to the presentations that contain at least one transport document as described in the latest version of the UCP.<\/p>\n<p>Please be careful that below documents are not considered as a transport document according to the UCP 600.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delivery Order,<\/li>\n<li>Forwarder\u2019s Certificate of Receipt,<\/li>\n<li>Forwarder\u2019s Certificate of Shipment,<\/li>\n<li>Forwarder\u2019s Certificate of Transport,<\/li>\n<li>Forwarder\u2019s Cargo Receipt<\/li>\n<li>Mate\u2019s Receipt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Therefore, these documents will be examined in the same manner as other documents for which there are no specific provisions in UCP 600, i.e., under sub-article 14(f).<\/p>\n<p><strong>MT 700<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Field 44D: Shipment Period:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>DEFINITION<\/strong><br \/>\nThis field specifies the period of time during which the goods are to be loaded on board\/despatched\/taken in charge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Field 44D: Shipment Period?
