(<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">1<\/span>)<\/p>\n<p>A packing list should state description of goods in line with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.letterofcredit.biz\/index.php\/2018\/01\/15\/what-is-letter-of-credit\/\">letter of credit<\/a> and other documents presented under the same L\/C.<\/p>\n<p>It should be stressed that only commercial invoice must contain exact description of goods stated in the letter of credit.<\/p>\n<p>Other documents including the packing list may indicate a description of goods in general terms but not in conflict with the goods description in the letter of credit.<\/p>\n<p>If the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.letterofcredit.biz\/index.php\/2018\/01\/16\/parties-to-letters-of-credit\/\">issuing bank<\/a> finds out that the packing list is showing different description of goods than any other document presented, then the issuing bank raises a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.letterofcredit.biz\/index.php\/2018\/01\/26\/discrepancies\/\">discrepancy<\/a>, which is known as description of goods on the packing list is in conflict with other documents.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Discrepancy Example: Description of Goods is in Conflict with Other Documents<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A letter of credit has been issued in SWIFT format, subject to UCPURR latest version, with the following details:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"td_text_highlight_marker_blue td_text_highlight_marker\"><strong>Letter of Credit Conditions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Field 45A: Description of Goods and or Services:<\/strong> 2500 Kgs Mild Dutch Cheese with 25% less salt content.
